5 Brampton Events You Should Check Out This Summer

The weather is warming up, which means summer is around the corner and so are summer events in Brampton.
This year, there are a bunch of events happening to celebrate summer in Brampton, and we’ve put together a list of five events that you should definitely check out!
Brampton’s annual celebration of diversity and the kick-off to summer, CeleBrampton is on June 10 this year with events from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. in the downtown core. Event highlights include cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs Jason Rosso and Ranveer Brar on Main Street North, craft beer, cider, and wine on the Rose Theatre Patio, and a main stage in Garden Square with a Beauty and the Beast show, tassa and steel drums, and headliner The Jerry Cans.
On the evening of August 26, Brampton Music Theatre is hosting the Arts Alive Festival at the Rose Theatre. They’re still holding auditions, and tickets range from $30-$45. THe festival is a celebration of the arts including featured guest performers Carol Welsman, Syndee Winters (from the cast of Hamilton) Katie Travis, (Phantom) Alvin Crawford (Sousatzka) Jean Stilwell, Leslie Ann Bradley, and Richard Margison.

Discover Canada Tuesday Evenings
Get comfortable in Garden Square Tuesday evenings starting June 13 from 7-10 p.m. to explore and discover Canada’s rich history and diverse culture. Each week will feature a different theme celebrated by various free activities and entertainment. The big screen in Garden Square will showcase iconic landmarks and beautiful landscapes from all across the country.
The Apple Factory’s Strawberry Festival
On June 17 and 18, check out The Apple Factory’s first annual Strawberry Festival. The event will feature family oriented festivities including live music, a supervised bouncy castle, face painting, games and craft activities, and a catered barbecue. Of course, there will be a variety of strawberry desserts, from cream-filled tarts to shortcake! All proceeds benefit the Peel Region’s Children’s Aid Society. The event is free to attend.
Canada Day at Chinguacousy Park
From noon at 10 p.m. on July 1, Chinguacousy Park is the place to be for Canada Day in Brampton. It gets pretty crowded, with thousands of people in attendance every year, for good reason – Ching Park features rides, fireworks, food trucks, and a live band. They usually have a popular headliner, too – last year, they had July Talk. For Canada’s 150th this year, the event is guaranteed to be even bigger than usual!
