5 Places to Get Macarons in Brampton

Melt-in-your-mouth, all different colours and flavours, and a quintessential French confection, macarons are made with buttercream, jam or ganache sandwiched between two soft, sweet almond meringue cookies…not to be confused with macaroons!

Thankfully if you lack the technical skills and time to make these fine pastries, you can pop into these local gems that carry them.

Here are five places you can find French macarons in Brampton:

5) La Cakery

This place might not sell macarons at all times of year (ie. not during holiday season – you’ll have to wait until the New Year!) but they are one of the only places in Brampton that sell the sweet treats, and they’re delicious! When they’re available, you can find the basics at this spot like strawberry, chocolate, and pistachio. And until then, you can indulge in La Cakery’s custard tarts and cheesecake, or one of their other decadent pastries. Like cake!

4) T by Daniel

This quaint and surprisingly popular tea shop (can’t get over their decadent lion chai that’s ideal any day, at any time) on Main Street in downtown Brampton very recently started selling macarons. They don’t have too many flavours, but among the options here include some very unique concoctions: chocolate strawberry, white chocolate matcha, lemon, and, what might be the most exciting…lion chai!!!! That’s right, Brampton, you can now get a lion chai macaron (or, you know, five) to go with your lion chai. Or any other exciting tea flavour of your choosing.

3) Dolcezza Custom Cakes

If you’re in the mood for a delicious chocolate hazelnut or Italian meringue buttercream mocha cupcake, Dolcezza is the place to be. At Dolcezza also on Main Street in downtown Brampton, you can mix and match vanilla, lemon, white Amaretto and blue velvet spongecake with a plethora of buttercream icing flavors and the result is pure decadance. As for macarons? Their flavours vary based on the day, but some they’ve had in the past include a sweet strawberry, a decadent coconut white chocolate, and classics like chocolate and vanilla.

2) Occassions

You’ll find Occassions nestled into a plaza on McMurchy and Nelson. With custom cakes and cupcakes, some of them in cube form, you can’t go wrong with desserts at Occassions! Of course, they also have a selection of French macarons, and you can get them on your custom cakes and cupcakes, too, if you’re looking for a delicious and indulgent sugar high. They often change up their flavours seasonally, but you’ll typically find flavours like key lime, coconut, red velvet, strawberry, cookies and cream, and white chocolate raspberry. If you head over soon, you might even be able to snag a delicious seasonal pumpkin macaron!

1) Macaronz

Brampton’s only boutique French macaron shop, which also serves high tea, has some of the best macarons in good ol’ B-town. Macaronz, which is located on Queen Street in downtown Brampton, has a wide variety of flavours, including chocolate caramel, cookies and cream, pistachio, mocha, salted caramel, chocolate mint, ube, cereal crunch, and many, many more! Want more than a straight up box of macarons? You can get macaron cupcakes or mini macaron cupcakes, macaron towers, and even macaron pops. It’s macaron everything at Macaronz! Even macaron cookie dough.
