If you love food festivals and food trucks, a brand new event is coming to Brampton that you’ll want to book your weekend for!

Brampton has its fair share of food festivals, and now, a massive and well-known food truck festival will be added to Brampton’s food festival roster this summer.

It’s true – Canadian Food Truck Festivals will officially hit Chinguacousy Park for one weekend from August 30 (5- 10 p.m), August 31 (12- 10 p.m) and September 1 (12- 8 p.m).

Chinguacousy Park is definitely a good pick for this festival’s location. At 100 acres, Brampton’s biggest park will play host to this festival which currently only operates in four other big cities, Pickering (The Esplanade Park), Toronto (Woodbine Park), Burlington (Spencer Smith Park), and Richmond Hill (Richmond Green Park).

For those of you who don’t know, Chinguacousy Park boasts a curling facility, winterized tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, ski hill and new state of the art track and field. It also has a mini-putt golf, formal gardens and greenhouse, paddle boats, pony rides, petting zoo and barn, splash pad and children’s playground, and a BMX/skateboard park. So, you can eat and enjoy the park’s many amenities.

This is exciting news – Brampton is now attracting popular festivals from across the GTA, and we all love food here, so the event is a welcome announcement.

“Brampton Food Truck Festival is expanding to 3 days!” say event organizers. “Show some of your Brampton love by bringing your friends and family. Oh and don’t forget, there will be FREE ADMISSION, local performers, cold beer and eating challenges geared to entertain the masses!”

That’s right, there will be entertainment alongside all of the food.

Here’s a look at the performers — which includes Peppa Pig and PJ Masks:

Which food trucks can you expect?

A total of 40 trucks will be at the festival.

On the roster are Beavertails, 6Spice Rack, Annina’s Bake Shop, The Apple Fritter Factory, Burger Factory, Buster’s Sea Cove, Crepe Street, Eva’s Original, Gotham Grill Toronto, Kono Pizza, Mexican Bowl, Mustache Burger, NaanSense and a lot more.

You have a few weeks left to get your appetite and your wallet ready.

We’ll keep you posted on the details.
