Anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee, a fresh pastry, or a quality bagel may have heard of this popular independent cafe in downtown Brampton.

Steaming Cups Cafe, which was located at 6 George Street near Brampton City Hall, may have closed down.

Though the popular cafe has not released a public statement and did not reply to InBrampton’s messages, many people assume that they have shut their doors for good.

As one InBrampton reader reports, the cafe is now vacant inside. Their phone number is also no longer in service. Additionally, the indie cafe has not updated their social media in the last couple of weeks.

The cafe opened January 2018 and has since provided Bramptonians with freshly brewed coffee (a staple, of course) and specialty teas, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and fresh bakery products.

One of the few healthy eating spots in the city, Steaming Cups offered three different kinds of parfait cups with berries (aka. antioxidants!) for a healthy breakfast choice, three kinds of freshly tossed salads (Canadian bean – hello protein, garden – hello iron, and Cesar – hello cheat salad), bento boxes, fresh veggie and meat wraps and sandwiches, and even fruit and veggie snack cups for when you’re feeling those late afternoon hunger pangs.

Let’s not forget about muffins, cheesecake, scones and cookies for people looking for a yummy treat!

We’ll miss you, Steaming Cups Cafe!
