Brampton-based World Robotics Champs Appearing on CBS

 

If you’re into robotics, you might be interested in a special highlighting a Brampton-based world robotics champion team.

The VEX Robotics World Championship teaches students different principles of mechanics such as friction, centre of gravity, simple and compound machines, mechanical advantage, different types of gears, and pulleys.  

Brampton-based world robotics champions KraftWerx, seen in our cover photo, will be highlighted in a one-hour special on CBS Sports on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 2-3 p.m.

KraftWerx won four awards at this year's VEX Robotics World Championship and ranked #1 globally in the skills challenge division throughout the VEX IQ season.      

The VEX Robotics World Championship is the largest robotics competition in the world, having celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. It aims to instill a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) learning in students.

Canadians have always been hugely successful at the VEX Robotics World Championship in all areas, including innovation, programming, and design.
