Brampton Celebrates Seniors Month With Week-Long Events

June is Seniors’ Month and the City is celebrating with a number of events.

June is Seniors’ Month and the City is celebrating with a number of events.

There will be a kick-off event today at City Hall from 5 pm to 7 pm. Mayor Patrick Brown and Councillors will be in attendance, as well as the City’s partners and departments such as Peel Regional Police, Brampton Fire and Emergency Services, and the Brampton Transit.

Speakers include individuals from senior community groups, including the Association of Seniors Clubs Brampton, the Canada Association for Retired Persons and Elder Help Peel.

After the event at City Hall, Bramptonians aged 55 and over are invited to enjoy select free programs at Brampton’s recreation centres from now until June 9 and the City’s annual Springfest celebration on Friday, June 7, featuring a trade show, a catered lunch and an afternoon of dancing.
