When it comes to festivals and events, there is no shortage of things to do in Brampton.

When it comes to festivals and events, there is no shortage of things to do in Brampton. The festive Flower City, the ninth largest in Canada, knows how to celebrate Canada’s birthday, revel in the joy of simply living in Brampton, welcome the holiday season and ring in the New Year.

For that reason, it’s no surprise that some of Brampton’s biggest events ended up on the Festivals and Events Ontario Top 100 List.

The events that made the cut?

CELEBrampton, Brampton Canada Day Celebrations, the Jambana One World Festival, the Tree Light in Downtown Brampton and Brampton’s New Year’s Eve party.

While most locals know that the four aforementioned events are solid celebrations, it’s encouraging to see the company they’re keeping on the list.

Other highlighted events include relatively famous celebrations, such as the acclaimed Stratford Festival, Doors Open Ontario, Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, Canada’s Largest Ribfest in Burlington, Niagara Grape and Wine Festival, Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest, Winterlude and more.

While it’s definitely too soon to be thinking about the tree lighting and New Year’s Eve, it’s nice to know that a few more summery events are getting closer by the day.

CELEBrampton, which welcomed over 35,000 people in 2016, will kick off on June 10 this year. Canada Day celebrations will take place, as usual on July 1.
