Brampton Fire rescues youths trapped on ice in Brampton

Two youths have been rescued after becoming trapped on ice this afternoon.
Two youths have been rescued after becoming trapped on ice this afternoon.
Police say a call came in at 4:08 p.m. for two teenagers who were trapped on the ice at Loafers Lake, near the intersection of Sandalwood Parkway East and Conestoga Drive.
One teenager made it across the ice while the other was trapped on the island and unable to cross, police say.
Brampton Fire crews attended the scene and took both youths to safety.
