Many people can agree that reading brings happiness as you delve into another world or start learning about new things. With that in mind, Brampton Library partnered with Love Child Organics and First Book Canada to spread joy to babies.

Brampton Library recently chose Tap the Magic Tree, written by Christie Matheson and published by HarperCollins Canada, to be shared with all babies born at Brampton Civic Hospital for the A Reader is Born initiative.

The library chose Springdale Branch Library’s Baby Storytime program to launch the program.

VP Sales for Love Child Organics Chris Renner, Deputy Executive Director of First Book Canada Heather Farquharson and Regional Team Lead of Health Sciences Library at Brampton Civic Hospital Janice Thompson all spoke at the event while Love Child Organics shared food samples.

“At Love Child Organics, we want to make the highest quality organic food for children and at the same time give back to children in need on a wider scale. Our partner in spreading the love is First Book Canada, a non-profit social enterprise that provides access to new books for children in need,” says the company.

The program and partnership aim to secure high-quality titles that help to create enriched learning experiences, transform the lives of children in need and elevate the quality of education.
