Brampton Resident Wanted by Police for Alleged Sexual Assault

Peel Regional Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect that is wanted for numerous offences, including alleged sexual assault.

According to police, on December 3, 2018 the victim and the suspect, who are known to each other, were at a residence in Brampton during the early morning hours.

The victim attempted to leave the residence when the suspect prevented the victim from doing so. Over the next several hours, the suspect assaulted the victim until the victim was finally allowed to leave later on in the evening.

24 year old Latisha Edwards has been identified as the suspect in this incident and is believed to be actively evading police. As such, a warrant of arrest was issued for Edwards for the following offences:

  • Forcible Confinement
  • Assault
  • Sexual Assault
