Brampton School Bus Driver Charged With Impaired Driving With Children on Board

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say that a Brampton man has been charged after allegedly operating a school bus full of students while impaired.

According to OPP, on Friday April 20, 2018, at around 1:29 p.m., police received a call from a teacher aboard a school bus carrying children from a field trip at the Albion Conservation Area in Caledon.
Police say the teacher reported concerns with the driver of the school bus.
OPP officers responded and arrested the driver on scene.

“There were no injuries to the occupants of the school bus,” reads a recent release from OPP.
Arthur Campbell, 65, of Brampton, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, uttering threats, and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
OPP say they will not be releasing the name of the school or the bus company, though they have confirmed the school is in Mississauga.
Campbell is slated to appear in court on May 10.
