Brampton seeks local talent for upcoming music festival

Over the years, we’ve seen some major talent arise from the city of Brampton, especially within the music scene.

Currently, the City of Brampton is seeking the city’s next up-and-coming musicians for an upcoming music festival.

This is Brampton at the North by Northeast (NXNE) festival, part of the NXNE Club Land Series is an upcoming curated showcase of local Brampton talent.

The NXNE Club Land Series is programmed by top Canadian musicians, industry leaders and associations and will be taking place at some of Toronto’s top venues. It will also feature over 40 shows.

This year will be Brampton’s third year participating in the festival and Brampton’s showcase will take place at The Drake Hotel on June 19, 2020.

Successful artists will be paid for their performances and have the chance to perform at the iconic Drake Hotel.

They will also be featured in NXNE marketing material and receive passes to all NXNE Curator Series + Interactive Sessions.

Local musicians and bands of all genres are invited to apply for a chance to perform and must submit their applications by March 31, 2020.

Up to five successful candidates will be selected by a panel of Brampton artists and industry experts upon review.

The list of selected artists will be announced on April 20, 2020.
