Brampton shooting leads to murder investigation

Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have started an investigation into the death of a man in Brampton.

Police say on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at 11:00 pm, emergency services received a call in regard to a shooting that took place in the area of Ray Lawson Boulevard and McLaughlin Road.

According to police, officers and paramedics located the victim in life-threatening condition and he was transported to the hospital by Peel Regional Paramedic Services.

Despite the best efforts of first responders and medical staff, the victim died as a result of the injuries he sustained, according to police.

Police say the victim has been identified as Adrian Ebonka, a 20-year-old man from Brampton.
