Brampton Transit Announces Summer Service Improvements

If you take Brampton Transit, you may want to be aware of some services changes that will be in effect soon.

If you take Brampton Transit, you may want to be aware of some services changes that will be in effect soon.

Brampton Transit recently announced that a few bus schedules will be adjusted to improve service, especially at peak hours, beginning June 26. 

The following schedules are being adjusted:

502 Züm Main

  • Weekday AM peak, mid-day and PM peak schedules adjusted to improve service 
  • Saturday AM schedule adjusted to improve service 

2 Main

  • Saturday AM schedule adjusted to improve service 

7/7A Kennedy

  • Weekday mid-day and PM peak schedules adjusted to improve service

11A Steeles 

  • Weekday PM peak schedule adjusted to improve service

Further, school routes will not operate during the summer months. School route service resumes on Tuesday, September 5. 

In terms of holiday service, for Canada Day on Saturday, July 1, buses will run on Saturday schedules and transit stores will be closed.

On Monday, July 3, buses will also run on Saturday schedules, but transit stores will be open.

For Civic Holiday on Monday, August 7, buses will run on Sunday/Holiday Service and transit stores will be closed.

After the next round of service improvements in the fall, route cards will only be available digitally. There will no longer be paper brochures showing route maps and schedules starting in September.

The next round of service improvements will take place on Tuesday, September 5.
