Brampton Woman Celebrating After Massive Lottery Win

A Brampton resident is making big plans for her life after a recent lottery win.

OLG has congratulated 29-year-old Rachel Hannan for winning the $2 million jackpot in the November 21, 2018 Ontario 49 draw.

Hannan, who works as an office administrator, says she was at work when she checked her ticket.

“I started screaming, and then asked my co-worker to double-check my ticket because I couldn’t believe it,” she said.

While Hannan describes herself as a regular lottery player, this is her first big win.

When asked about her plans for the future, she said she wanted to build her dream house and start a small business.

“I’m also going to look into putting the children’s book I’ve written out on the market,” Hannan added.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers World on Main Street in Brampton.
