If you were looking for a brand new place to celebrate birthday parties, bridal and baby showers and just general afternoons out, you are in luck–a brand new high tea destination is about to open its doors in Brampton.

Macaronz, the downtown Brampton macaron shop that’s known for serving the delicate French pastries and creatively (and tastily) adorned mini-doughnuts, has added an additional 600 square feet to its shop and turned the new space into a High Tea room.

Macaronz owner Zanda Rodriguez told inbrampton.com that she had been working on the concept for about three years. While the shop currently offers high tea on Sundays, the expansion will create more room for diners and allow Rodriguez and her team to transform their current space to display more tasty wares.

In an earlier interview with inbrampton.com, Rodriguez said she’s working to have more baked goods, such as croissants and cakes, on display (think Paillard in Quebec City, but without the bread).

As for the high tea expansion itself, Rodriguez says it’ll be open for both private and public events and can be used for bridal and baby showers, tea parties, birthdays and general get togethers and gatherings.

The space is set to open on June 24 and the grand opening will feature three seatings.

Diners who want to enjoy a little high tea are welcome to book seatings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The retail area will be open for foot traffic all day long as well.
