A courthouse employee in Brampton recently tested positive for COVID-19.

A courthouse employee in Brampton recently tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a memo on the Ontario Bar Association’s website, management was notified on September 27 about the positive case of the virus.

The memo, dated September 28, was written by Marion Marrone, the manager of court operations.

“Peel Public Health is taking necessary steps to reduce transmission, including contact tracing,” read the memo.

The employee was tested for the virus on September 23 and their last day at the courthouse was September 22, confirmed the memo.

According to the memo, the employee was not symptomatic on the day they attended the courthouse and has been advised by Public Health to self-isolate. 

“Since March 23, 2020, the courthouse has been receiving and continues to receive enhanced cleaning on a regular basis,” confirmed the memo.
