Crashes Closes Portion of Hwy. 410 in Brampton

A crash has closed a stretch of Hwy. 410 in Brampton on Monday morning.
It’s due to a single dump truck rollover, said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.

It’s due to a single dump truck rollover, said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.
The rollover took place around 9:45 a.m., closing the westbound Derry Rd. ramp to Hwy. 410 northbound.

“The dump truck was loaded with soil or fill or some sort,” said Schmidt.
Some of the load has spilled down onto the ramp.
The driver was assessed by Peel paramedics and has a couple of cuts and scrapes on his arm, said Schmidt, adding the man said he was wearing his seat belt.
Heavy tows are on scene
It’s unclear how long cleanup will take.
There’s no word yet on charges.
Avoid the area or expect major delays.
