Police and emergency services are attending the scene of a fire this evening in Brampton.

Police and emergency services are attending the scene of a fire this evening in Brampton.

Around 8:30 p.m., PRP reported a fire in the area of Professor’s Lake, east of Bramalea Road at Bovaird Drive East.

Professor’s Lake is closed east of Bramalea as emergency vehicles make their way to the scene.

Citizens are asked to avoid the area for now.

UPDATE: The fire has been put out, roadway is clear.
