PAMA Kids Summer Camp (Ages 6 – 12)

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)

9 Wellington Street. East
Brampton, Ontario

Campers will imagine, explore, and play each fun-filled day!  Inspired by PAMA's current exhibitions and the great outdoors, campers will engage in a variety of daily activities within PAMA and at various parks and outdoor spaces within walking distance (weather permitting).  Not only will they create their own masterpieces, but they will be entertained by weekly special guests and explore art and history in new ways.  Camp programs are designed for ages 6 - 12 years.

Public: $225 per week.  Member: $191.25 and pre-registration is required.

 July 8 - 12 - Comic Craze

From comic strips to murals and flipbooks, you will learn a variety of drawing techniques in this week of crazy comics.  Local artist Jason Wilkins will teach the art of caricatures as you create your own stories and characters while exploring comic art and graphic novels.  Join us to bring your characters to life and take them on wild adventures!

July 15 - 19 - Move & Create

Move, groove and create in this fun-filled week exploring art in motion!  Create and play with shapes, colours, textures and materials as you explore the idea that art is more than a painting on a wall.  Explore the art of dance and make your own music video with a special visit from In the Mix!

July 22 - 26 - Sculpt It

Working with clay, cardboard, paper and more; take your imagination off the page and outside the box! You will explore the connections between art and science as Mad Science join us to invent for ourselves. Transform a piece of paper into a sculptural work of art and explore different materials as you create your own 3D works.

July 29 - Aug. 2 - Colourful Creations

Mix and match your favourite colours and explore what you can create with the rainbow as you make your own masterpieces. Scientists in School will join us to explore colours in a new way. Use your imagination and bring colours to life through paintings, sculptures, printmaking and more!
