Residents will be asked to choose their next mayor, city / regional councillors as well as Peel school board trustees.

Here is everything you need to know about voting in Brampton.

When and where to vote

Voting takes place on Monday, October 22. Polls are open from 10 am to 8 pm across the city’s 10 wards.

Brampton has provided this interactive map that allows you to find your polling station. Just enter your street address and number and it will highlight your ward with the voting areas.

You can vote in any of the polling stations located within your designated ward.

Residents should have already received a Voters’ Notice informing them where and how to vote. If you have not received said notice in the mail, you can check online to see if you’re on the Voters List.

What you need with you to vote

Bring your Voter Notice (if you received one in the mail), and a piece of identification that shows your name and Brampton address, such as: an Ontario Driver’s Licence or a utility bill. A full list of acceptable documents for identification is available here.

Who is eligible to vote?

In order to cast a ballot, you must be:

  • A Canadian citizen residing in Brampton.

  • At least 18 years old on Voting Day.

  • If you do not live in Brampton but you or your spouse owns or rents property in the city, you may still be able to vote.
