So, if you are Brampton resident and 65-years-old or older, then you are eligible for the $15 seniors Brampton transit pass.

The discounted monthly pass will go on sale August 6. It will be available at all Brampton Transit terminals and facilities. Seniors will then be able to start using their discounted pass starting September 1.

The city will launch the pass on July 5 at 10:45 am. The event will be hosted at the Flower City Community Campus’s Seniors Centre, which is located at 8870 McLaughlin Road South.

The city hopes to implement a free fare pass for senior Brampton residents after the introduction of the discounted seniors pass.

The new transit pass aims to encourage residents to become more environmentally friendly and is a part of the city’s green city campaign. The city has also introduced many greener transit and transportation initiatives while focusing on energy efficiency and revitalizing natural spaces and the urban tree canopy.
