Fire Breaks Out in Brampton Apartment

Emergency crews raced to the scene of a fire in Brampton on Saturday afternoon.
The call came in for “smoke coming out of a unit,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Rachel Gibbs.

Officers are assisting Brampton firefighters at 66 Malta Ave. — that’s near Hurontario St. and Ray Lawson Blvd.
The call for the apartment blaze came in at 4:58 p.m.
There’s no word yet on injuries.
The fire is out, however, residents are being asked to stay in their units.
