Who doesn’t love free food and a fun event to go along with it?

If you love animals, food, and fun, there’s an event you’ll want to check out that’s coming up in Brampton. In about two weeks, you can party with your family and your fur babies at a free barbecue thanks to Brampton Animal Services.

Where and when is this all going down, you ask?

As part of Brampton Animal Services’ Annual Open House from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 475 Chrysler Drive, you can attend a free barbecue!

The open house is going to be packed with events for the whole family – even your pets are invited. Alongside the free barbecue, there will be a photobooth, a bunch of vendors, a pet-themed garage sale, and many more activities to take part in.

That’s not all – the free barbecue and open house is the kick-off for Brampton Animal Services’ adopt-a-thon, which is set to run from September 30-October 7. The adopt-a-thon also waives all fees for adopting cats and kittens, so if you can give a cat or a kitten a good home, definitely check it out.

A note that Brampton Animal Services also has a microchip clinic coming up on September 27 from 6-8 p.m. A microchip is a small device, about the size of a grain of rice, that’s implanted under the skin of your dog or cat and provides 24/7 identification of your pet. It’s not a tracking device or a GPS, the microchip simply provides your pet with their own unique, lifetime ID number that will help them get home safely if they get lost.

Head over and check out the barbecue – maybe you’ll find a pet, too!
