Gun seen during attempted puppy sale in Brampton

Officers have one suspect in custody following an incident this evening.

Police say an individual was selling a puppy on Skylar Circle, near the intersection of Cottrelle and The Gore Road.

During the attempted sale, a gun was reportedly seen, and the suspect fled the scene on foot with the puppy.

The suspect, who reportedly injured themselves, was taken into custody by police. A firearm was recovered.

Police say the puppy is back in safe hands.

Officers were called for the incident at 7:31 p.m.

Skylar is currently blocked off as police continue to investigate.
