Have you ever wanted to go for a run in your Halloween costume?

Now’s your chance! Ghosts, witches, goblins, Harry Potters, and beyond, unite, because a Halloween themed 5K is coming to Brampton.

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 9:30-11 a.m., you can run, walk, or wheel along Etobicoke Creek fully decked out in your Halloween costume – just make sure you can run in it.

This is the second annual Halloween Hustle 5K being held in Brampton, and it’s held by the Festival of Literary Diversity (FOLD) foundation. The FOLD is Canada’s first festival for diverse books, and it was held back in May.

Here’s one of the best parts about the run: there are costume prizes for individuals and for teams!

So you should definitely put your best face forward.

The run begins at the Brampton YMCA in downtown Brampton.

Following the 5K, there will be a Mini-Monster Mile for all of the youngin’s who want to run in their costumes, too. The Mini-Monster Mile will start at 10:30 a.m.

And all of those participants will receive a medal!

Your furry friends and babies are invited, too.

What’s all of this for, you ask?

The Halloween Hustle 5K and the Mini-Monster Mile is a fundraiser for the FOLD Foundation. The Brampton-based foundation promotes diverse Canadian literature and literary artists.

It’s $50 to register.

“Students aged 11-19 can take part for $25. Adults and students may also register as a team,” say organizers.
