This weekend, the city of Brampton will be kicking off the holidays with its annual Winter Lights Festival presented by Northwest Lexus.

The celebrations will kick off with the first tree-lighting, which will take place in Ken Whillans Square.

This weekend’s festivities will also include an outdoor holiday market and Canada’s largest nighttime Santa Claus Parade presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton.

The tree lighting will take place on Friday, November 15 at 8 p.m., where Bramptonians will count down to light up the 60-foot spruce tree, decorated with over 10,000 Christmas lights.

The Christmas Market, presented by Tire World, will take place at Garden Square on Friday, November 15 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, November 16 from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

This will be a great opportunity for finding unique gifting items, enjoying sweet treats or riding the carousel.

The Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton, will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 5 p.m on Main St. North to South.

This is the largest single-day event in the Region of Peel that is considered to be the largest nighttime parade in Canada.
This year will also mark the parade’s 25th anniversary.
