Major Construction Project Planned for One of Brampton’s Busiest Streets

Major construction is coming to Williams Parkway in the near future.

The city is planning to widen the roadway in three parts of Brampton.

Major construction is coming to Williams Parkway in the near future.

The city is planning to widen the roadway in three parts of Brampton.

From McLaughlin Road to Kennedy Road, the city will be widening Williams Parkway from four lanes to six lanes. There will also be intersection improvements, utility relocations and landscaping.

The detailed design should be completed by summer 2021. The utility relocations will start in spring 2021 and end by spring 2022. The rest of the project will start in spring 2022 and will be completed soon thereafter.

The city will also be widening Williams Parkway from West of Airport Road to Spar Drive. The city will widen the roadway to have six lanes.

They are also planning to widen the roadway between Kennedy Road to North Park Drive to have six lanes. There will also be intersection improvements, utility relocations and landscaping from Kennedy Road to the east of North Park Drive.

The design for this section will be completed by summer 2020. The construction will start once the design is approved, which should be by summer 2020. The utility relocation is planned to start in summer 2019 and should be completed by summer 2020.
