Man Arrested Following Break-In and Armed Assault in Brampton

Officers have made an arrest in connection with a recent break and enter in Brampton.

On Tuesday, March 12, police say a male suspect forced his way into a Brampton residence and made death threats to several people inside.

“Numerous other criminal offences were identified as having occurred prior to and after this incident,” police say.

The suspect was identified as Linval Ritchie, a 26 year old man with no fixed address.

On Friday, March 22, Ritchie was arrested in Brampton.

He is charged with breaking and entering, four counts of uttering threats, three counts of assault, and assault with a weapon.

Police say the victim and the suspect in this incident are known to each other.

Ritchie is being held for bail and will appear in court on Saturday, March 23.
