Marijuana Comedy Club Launches in Brampton
If you're looking for pot-centric/friendly comedy in Brampton, you are in luck—the 420 Comedy Club has launched in Brampton.
The club, which opened inside the Green Leaf Vapour Lounge on Rosedale Ave. in the city, is said to be Brampton's "first and only" comedy club that's "very 420 friendly."
According to the club's Kijiji listing—which indicates the club opened earlier this month—guests are invited to bring "your buds and your budz."
As far as events go, the club offers Open Mic Wednesdays, Themed Show Thursdays, Pro Show Fridays, Pro Am Saturdays and Improv/Sketch Sundays.
Although it's important to note that, at this time, recreational marijuana is still illegal, the lounge itself (and, of course, the comedy club) is not. The facility does not sell or dispense pot, but it does invite people to bring their own cannabis.
According to the lounge's website, dealing is prohibited (so it's a smoke-only environment).
As far as comedy and entertainment go, the lounge will actually be hosting Precious Chong (daughter of Cheech and Chong's Tommy Chong) at 9:00 p.m. tonight. Chong will be headlining the night's festivities, and other performers include Jesse Singh and Ethan O'Reilly. The event will be hosted by Neil Griffin of the 420 Comedy Club.
Admission to the event is $20.
Admission to the lounge in general is typically $5.
All lounge guests must be 19 or older.
