Massive Food and Entertainment Festival Returning to Brampton This Summer

Food, music, live entertainment and more - if you love summer festivals in Brampton, this is one you won’t want to miss!

CeleBrampton is one of Brampton’s biggest street festivals, and it’s on its way back this year on Saturday June 9, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

It’s never too soon to get excited about the incredible summer events in Brampton.

The festival was recently recognized as a Top 100 Festival and Event in Ontario, so it’s kind of a big deal.

According to the Downtown Brampton BIA, Main Street North between Queen and Nelson, Main Street South between Queen and John, and Queen Street between Theatre Lane and George Street will be shut down at various times throughout the day for food, sport, and community events as part of the celebrations.

Patio extensions and sidewalk sales are two aspects of this year’s event that residents can definitely look forward to.

CeleBrampton takes over almost all of downtown Brampton - last year, locations included Garden Square, Wellington Street West, Main Street, Queen Street, Ken Whillans Square, Daily Times Square, the Rose Theatre patio, the Alderlea and PAMA.

In 2017, the event was packed with food vendors, cooking demos, and live entertainment, including The Jerry Cans, Brampton’s own Unbuttoned, Exco Levi, the high-energy sounds of Casava, and a Beauty and the Beast show.

This massive festival guarantees a Brampton tradition of providing all-day, non-stop fun for attendees, complete with activities, food, culture, heritage and arts.

It’s where “we celebrate our diversity,” reads the City of Brampton’s website.

It is our strength, the very essence of our city's character. CeleBrampton is the kick off to summer where our diverse community comes together to enjoy great food, family fun, culture, heritage, arts and great entertainment, all reflecting who we are as a vibrant city of over 600,000.”

CeleBrampton is the kick-off not only to summer, but to some of Brampton’s best summer events, like the farmers’ market, the Mount Pleasant Village Market, Garden Square’s Summer Season, and the Rose Theatre’s summer season.

And it just gets better every year.

The full event line-up has not yet been confirmed, but you can definitely expect a lot of food, live music, and fun for the entire family on June 9 in downtown Brampton.

We’ll keep you posted as those updates arise!
