CeleBrampton is one of Brampton’s biggest street festivals, and it’s on its way back this year on Saturday June 9, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
It’s never too soon to get excited about the incredible summer events in Brampton.
The festival has now been recognized as a Top 100 Festival and Event in Ontario for two years in a row, so it’s kind of a big deal.

Here’s what’s happening at CeleBrampton this year:
From 11 a.m.-9 p.m. at Garden Square, you can expect local entertainment and community activities including interactive dance classes. You can also expect a community art project on the large Muskoka chair and the incredibly popular MyBrampton sign for some epic Instagram shots.
Lots of food is coming, too. From 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Main Street North, more than 15 vendors will be set up selling a variety of cultural cuisine in abundance. Downtown businesses are also offering extended patios and sidewalk sales. And, Carabram is hosting a showcase with traditional dance, music, and entertainment.
Something exciting is coming to Queen Street East from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. It’s a community picnic where everyone can eat together, and there will also be some huge parks vehicles like a crane and bucket truck.
Along Queen Street West from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., you can check out sports organizations and take part in their activities, including the Brampton Beast, Brampton Minor Lacrosse, Brampton Minor Basketball, Raptors 905 and a MLS Cup Trophy Tour.
Finally, Main Street South and Ken Whillans Square from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. will host City services’ information booths, a bike fest, and an Elections “Make Your Mark” campaign where you can learn more about how to get involved in elections season.
Two free walking tours are also happening during CeleBrampton, courtesy of local historian Steve Collie. The walks start at 33 Queen Street West (the new entrance to City Hall) at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m., ending at Dasbrezelhaus near all of the CeleBrampton action, and cover Brampton history, the Etobicoke Creek, the Riverwalk project, and the new university development coming to Brampton. You can also expect some ghost stories!
This massive festival guarantees a Brampton tradition of providing all-day, non-stop fun for attendees, complete with activities, food, culture, heritage and arts.
It’s where “we celebrate our diversity,” reads the City of Brampton’s website.
“It is our strength, the very essence of our city’s character. CeleBrampton is the kick off to summer where our diverse community comes together to enjoy great food, family fun, culture, heritage, arts and great entertainment, all reflecting who we are as a vibrant city of over 600,000.”
CeleBrampton is the kick-off not only to summer, but to some of Brampton’s best summer events, like the farmers’ market, the Mount Pleasant Village Market, Garden Square’s Summer Season, and the Rose Theatre’s summer season.
And it just gets better every year.

10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Queen Street from Chapel Street/Theatre Lane to George Street
- Main Street South from Queen Street to Wellington Street

- Main Street North from Queen Street to Nelson Street/Theatre Lane
