MLB preparing for shortened season

Good news baseball fans! It looks like there is going to be a Major League Baseball (MLB) season this summer!

The MLB has announced it will be organizing a shortened, 60-game season that will start on July 23 and 24.

Teams will have three weeks to prepare for the season--players will report to training on July 1, and most teams are expected to conduct workouts at their own facilities.

Additionally, unlike other professional sports that have been using a hub-city method, the MLB appears ready to allow teams to travel between cities.

The schedule the MLB has submitted to the Players Association mainly features divisional games, in order to limit the need for travel; teams will play other teams from their own division as well as teams from the same region of the opposing league.
