Multiple schools under hold and secure after stabbing in Brampton

Officers are on scene for an investigation this evening.

Police were called at 12:09 p.m. for a stabbing in the area of Bramlea Road and Father Tobin Road.

Police were called at 12:09 p.m. for a stabbing in the area of Bramlea Road and Father Tobin Road.

One victim was taken to local hospital with minor injuries and is currently in stable condition.

Officers are searching for one suspect in the area.

Louise Arbour Public Secondary School is under lockdown, and the following schools are under hold and secure:

  • Lougheed Public Elementary School
  • Carberry Public Elementary School
  • Stanley Mills Public Elementary School

The investigation is ongoing. More information to come.


UPDATE: (1:12 p.m.) The hold and secure has been lifted for Lougheed, Carberry, and Stanley Mills elementary schools. The lockdown for Louise Arbour has been changed to a hold and secure.

UPDATE: (1:29 p.m.) Police say they now have the suspect in custody. The hold and secure is still in place as the investigation continues.
