The City of Brampton is launching a virtual experience that highlights the city’s heritage and unique cultural spaces.

Entitled Digital Doors Open, the event will run from September 26 to October 31, and will allow residents to view videos and photos of more than 20 historic and heritage locations and places of interest in the community.

Additionally, Digital Doors Open will allow residents to experience public art monuments, learn about the city’s fire and transit facilities, and tour the community’s oldest buildings, such as the Alderlea Estate, Grace United Church, and Historic Bovaird House.

“This year, Doors Open will take place online all month, giving everyone an expanded opportunity to discover the story behind many unique doors in Brampton. Brampton has a rich history and culture, and I encourage you to explore our most unique and fascinating sites like never before from the comfort of your own home,” Mayor Patrick Brown said in a news release.

“Doors Open may look a little different this year, but it will be an experience like no other. Be sure to visit our online hub of tours, videos, and photos of some of Brampton’s most interesting locations, and check out the artist talks and haunted and heritage tours throughout the month,” Paul Vicente, regional councillor for Wards 1 and 5 and Vice-Chair of the Economic Development and Culture for Brampton, said in the same release.
