Officers and paramedics are on scene for an incident this afternoon.

Police received at a call at 6:11 p.m. reporting a shooting in the area of Countryside Drive and Airport Road.

While there’s no word on injuries, paramedics say they’re responding to a possible victim at the scene.

Residents are asked to avoid the area as police investigate.

UPDATE:

Police reported at 8:21 p.m. that the victim in this shooting succumbed to their injuries and has been pronounced dead.

The Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau will be attending the scene to investigate.
