Party in the LANES Returns to Downtown Brampton for a Night of Food, Music, and Fun

Get ready, Brampton, because a massive street party is about to hit the city!
That’s right – Party in the LANES is returning this summer for its third year, with a night of great entertainment planned on Friday, August 23 from 6-11pm.
Organized by Downtown Brampton BIA and partnered with local organizations such as B-Jazzed and Peel Art Museum and Archives (PAMA), this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than its predecessors in every way, so residents aren’t going to want to miss out on the festivities.
As usual, the party will happen on multiple laneways in the heart of downtown Brampton with the goal of showcasing the city’s vibrant downtown scene and all of the unique businesses residing within it.
Each lane will feature its own entertainment, food vendors, and a few other goodies that will make each of them a treat to visit.
So, where is the party taking place?
The four locations are George Street South, McArter Lane at 27 Main Street North, Garden Square, and this year’s new location, Vivian Lane located next to 74 Main Street North.
Here’s a quick rundown on what you can expect to see and do at each lane:
George Street South
Take in the amazing culture of the Latin Festival on George Street South! Latin band Bachata Swing will be performing live from 7 to 11 pm. Belly dancer Natalie Zara, who performed at Party in the Lanes last year, will return to dance again at 8:05 and 10:10 pm. And if you’re in a dancing mood yourself, then you’re invited to partake in salsa lessons courtesy of the Salsa Café at Segovia Coffee Co – the lessons start at 7:00 pm and again at 9:00 pm.
McArter Lane
The theme here is “Live your life in McArter Lane.” If you’re interested in live music and local entertainment, McArter is the place to be – Stacey Renee will be performing throughout the night from 7 to 10 pm. Residents can enjoy a fashion show by Dress People from 6:45 to 6:55 pm and dancercise 6:10 and 7:45 pm. Food will be provided by Indian Curry Express and Wildcard Board Game Cafe. This lane will also be decked out with some awesome decorations including balloons and a flower arch (perfect for those Instagram pics!).
Vivian Lane
If you’re planning to bring the kids to Party in the LANES, then Vivian Lane is for you. This is where you’ll find the Kids Lane with activities including crafts. Take a photo with PhotoboothTO, and meet members of the Brampton Beast and Brampton Fire who will be present at Vivian Lane throughout the evening, Along with Beaux Arts Brampton.
Garden Square
Finally, be sure not to miss Friday Night Live at Garden Square, presented by the City of Brampton! Friday Night Live is a summer series of weekly concerts held on the mainstage. For Party in the LANES, Brampton rock group The Epic Eagles Tribute Band will be set to entertain with a two-hour performance from 8 to 10 pm.
Overall, it’s set to be an exciting summer event where residents can come together and enjoy everything Brampton’s downtown has to offer. With a wide variety of food, music, and entertainment, this is one Brampton event you won’t want to miss.
