Since 2015, the Polar Plunge has raised $146,750 for Special Olympics, with 100 per cent of the proceeds benefiting the athletes through sports programs, uniforms and accommodations for events.
The event will be taking place at the Peel Regional Police Association on 10675 Mississauga Road in Brampton. Anyone can register for the plunge, simply donate, sponsor a participant or attend the event to give support.
Registration: 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Opening remarks: 6:00pm – 6:30pm

Registration Fee: Cadets/ Recruits $25 (or raise $50.00 to waive the fee), Adult Registration $75 (or raise $150.00 to waive the fee)
Prizes will be awarded for the Top Earning Team and Top Earning Individual. The deadline for online donations is midnight on February 7.
Event organizers advise to bring some warm, dry clothes to change into afterwards, because it seems participants have the option of either changing into proper swimwear for the plunge, or just jumping in fully clothed in regular business attire!
