In the advent of the released 2019-2021 Proposed Budget, the City of Brampton has reached out to citizens to get more direct input in how to better facilitate services.
Mayor Patrick Brown is taking that idea a step further by conducting coffee chat budget townhalls.
Hosted my first coffee chat budget townhall tonight with downtown #Brampton residents at @SegoviaCoffee. Thanks to @paulvicente for joining the discussion tonight. #brampoli pic.twitter.com/PdZ2gwF0ah

The concept of these coffee chats is apparently to foster a space (in this case, coffee and tea shops) for Bramptonians to directly discuss the issues important them with Mayor Brown and other governmental figures.
In this case, the first coffee chat was held in Downtown Brampton’s Segovia Coffee Co., where Mayor Brown was flanked by numerous residents, in addition to Regional Councillor Paul Vicente.
So far, the concept seems to be appealing to those who it would presumedly affect the most in the city.
@brampton_mayor Very interesting, good concept @ Segovia Coffee glad there will be more of these but the questions from the people need to be more on point. Like, what’s happening in #Brampton “now” and how it can change for the better. Thank you Mayor Brown

More coffee and tea chats regarding the discussion of the proposed 2019-2021 budget are on their way.
What do you think of this concept to get in touch with the mayor more directly, Brampton?
