Peel Police make arrests after assault involving ‘sticks and cricket bats’

Peel Regional Police made arrests in relation to a “violent incident involving multiple parties armed with weapons”.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on July 16, police said “several parties” attended the area of James Potter Rd. and Bonnie Braes Dr. in the City of Brampton.

Police say the accused were armed with sticks and cricket bats as they assaulted the victim, who suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Police said they identified, arrested, and charged all parties allegedly responsible for the assault.

Abhishek Abhishek, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Manoj Kumar, a 51-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Mohit Mohit, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Tinu Tinu, a 19-year-old man from Brampton was charged with one count of assault.

Havee Havee, a 26-year-old man from Brampton was charged with one count of assault.
