A 42-year-old woman is dead following a Brampton crash involving a van and transport truck.

“It’s under investigation,” said Peel Regional Police Const. Iryna Yashnyk.

Two vehicles collided near Bovaird and Brisdale drives — the call came in at 9:41 p.m. Monday.

The woman was a passenger in the van, said Yashnyk, and was transported to hospital where she died of her injuries.

Three others were also sent to hospital: an 18-year-old female driver and two male passengers, ages 14 and 16.

It’s too early to comment on charges being laid, said Yashnyk.

The major collision bureau has the file.

Investigators are looking for “anyone in the area or with video” of the incident, said Yashnyk.

The intersection reopened around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Tipsters can contact the major collision bureau at (905) 453-2121 ext. 3710.
