Police and Brampton Fire responding to person in crisis

There’s a heavy police presence as officers respond to an incident in Brampton this afternoon.
There’s a heavy police presence as officers respond to an incident in Brampton this afternoon.
Police were called shortly before 3:00 p.m. for a male causing property damage to a hotel at Nexus Avenue and Fogal Road, near the intersection of Ebenezer and The Gore Road.
Police say the male is possibly in crisis and and is currently on one of the building’s ledges.
Officers and Brampton Fire remain at the scene. More information to come.

Residents are asked to avoid the area.
UPDATE: Police say officers have been able to convince the man to come down from the ledge. He is currently being assessed by Peel paramedics with unknown injuries.
