Police Arrest Two Men Allegedly Planning Armed Robbery in Brampton

Two Brampton men who police say were preparing to commit robbery have been arrested.

Two Brampton men who police say were preparing to commit robbery have been arrested.

The incident happened at approximately 10:25 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at a pizza store at the corner of McLaughlin Road and Bovaird Drive.

Police say two men were observed in the store’s parking lot, wearing masks and looking into stores and vehicles.

One of the men reportedly opened the door to the pizza store, surveyed how many people were inside and returned to his accomplice, at which point officers arrived and arrested the two.

A search of both suspects revealed two replica firearms, gloves, and the masks they were wearing, police say.

Brampton men Jacob Jiminez, 18, and Telique Ricketts, 18, are charged with Robbery, Use Imitation Firearm While Committing Offence, and Disguise With Intent.

Jiminez is additionally charged with Fail To Comply with Recognizance.
