Police Identify Man Fatally Gunned Down in Brampton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal shooting in Brampton.

Peel police say it’s the 15th homicide in the Region of Peel (Brampton and Mississauga) in 2018.

Police say that on Thursday, July 12 at 11:06 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Slumdog Bar & Grill plaza (located 15 Brisdale Drive).  When officers arrived, they located a victim with no vital signs.

Police say lifesaving efforts were attempted, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Brampton man Kareem Watson.

Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau investigators are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the incident or who may have been driving in the area and have dash cam video of the incident.
