Police Investigating Attempted Carjacking in Brampton


Officers are searching for the suspects of an attempted theft today in Brampton.

Police reported around 5:45 p.m. that a carjacking was attempted in the area of Ray Lawson and McLaughlin Road South.

The suspects indicated that they had a gun, although no weapon was seen, police report.

Both suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects is six feet, thin, bald and wearing a black hooded jacket.

The investigation is ongoing. We’ll update with any further info.

UPDATEPolice are additionally investigating an attempted purse snatching in the samea area. The suspects are two black males, possibly armed, who fled the scene in a vehicle. It is currently unknown whether both incidents are connected.
