Police Locate Body of Murdered Brampton Woman

The body of a woman has been recovered and positively identified as Beata Paciorek, a 35-year-old Brampton area woman who was recently reported missing.

Police have also reported that two people are facing charges in connection with the murder of Paciorek.

On Friday, May 19, Peel police launched an investigation following Paciorek’s disappearance.

Police say that Paciorek was with several parties and operating a U-Haul rental truck headed into the Greater Sudbury Area. According to police, witness information led investigators to believe that Paciorek was murdered during her travels between Brampton and the Greater Sudbury area following an altercation at the roadside of a highway.

Police report that on Sunday, May 21, Peel Homicide officers executed a search warrant on the U-Haul vehicle in the Sault. Ste. Marie area. During the search, the body of the victim was discovered within the rear compartment.

On Saturday May 20, Sault Ste. Marie police, under the direction of Peel Homicide officers, arrested two parties and charged them with first degree murder.

Police say Mike Madill, a 28-year-old man of no fixed address and Amy MacDonald, a 37-year-old woman (also of no fixed address) were located and arrested in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Both parties were remanded into custody pending bail hearings on Sunday May 21.
