UPDATED: Police on Scene for Suspicious Package in Downtown Brampton


If you’re traveling in downtown Brampton today, you may want to avoid the four corners area.

Police reported a suspicious package at 11 a.m.

Buses are currently not servicing the Downtown Terminal as a result.

Hurontario is closed between Queen and Church to both vehicles and pedestrians, say police. The road around the bus terminal are also closed.

We will update as info becomes available.

UPDATED: The Explosive Disposal Unit is on scene as of 11:34 a.m.

UPDATED: GO service has been cancelled at Brampton GO, according to Metrolinx as of about noon.

UPDATED: As of 12:48 p.m. Main is re-opened and Nelson will be open soon.

UPDATED: Bus terminal has re-opened as of 1:10 p.m.
