Police searching for Brampton man following shooting and robbery at adult entertainment facility

Police are also looking for one outstanding suspect following a robbery and shooting incident at an adult entertainment facility that the murder suspect was allegedly involved in.
Peel police say that in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, Ibrahim and his friend left a business establishment in Mississauga and began travelling eastbound on the 401. Their vehicle was approaching the 427 when a dark-coloured SUV allegedly pulled alongside their vehicle and shot at them several times.
The vehicle was struck numerous times, but no one was injured.

Police say that around 11:50 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 22, officers were called to a Mississauga condominium building on Webb Drive to respond to reports of a shooting. Officers discovered Ibrahim, who was suffering from gunshot wounds, at the scene.
Peel Regional Police Inspector Martin Ottaway told reporters at a Dec. 10 news conference that Ibrahim succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving measures.
Ottaway told reporters that the investigation revealed that Ibrahim was seated in a vehicle when the suspect allegedly walked up to the car and fired several bullets. Police say the suspect fled the scene in a dark-coloured SUV.
Ottaway called the shooting planned and premeditated and told reporters it was related to criminality, but not gang activity.
Police said that on Wednesday, Dec. 4, search warrants were executed at residences in both Mississauga and Brampton.
Police say Brandon Drakes-Simon, a 24-year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested at that time and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Ibrahim.
Police also say that Melnee Christian, a 24-year-old woman from Mississauga, was arrested with the assistance of Calgary police in Calgary connection with Ibrahim’s murder.
Ottaway says she was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and is expected to be returned to Ontario. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 11.
Ottaway told reporters that investigators also seized a brown 2012 Infinity IFX SUV, which was reportedly used in the alleged murder and is believed to have been used in the alleged attempted murder incident on the 401 on Oct. 20.
Police say the homicide investigation into Brandon Drakes-Simon and his associates has led investigators to uncover evidence of a robbery and shooting incident that took place at 1:41 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019, at an adult entertainment club located on Invader Crescent in Mississauga.
Police allege a female victim was robbed of money and property and that shots were fired.
No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting.
Police allege that, during this robbery, the same Infinity SUV was spotted.
On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, Jason Williams, a 38-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with robbery and firearm-related offences. Police allege that during the course of his arrest, a loaded 9mm handgun was located.
Ottaway told reporters that Justin Malcolm, a 34-year-old man from Brampton (pictured above), is currently wanted for robbery and firearm-related offences in connection with the robbery and shooting incident on Invader Crescent.
Ottaway says he is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him to asked to avoid approaching him to call 9-1-1 immediately.
Ottaway told reporters it is not yet clear if the outstanding suspect was involved in Ibrahim’s murder.
“Pleased that Peel Police have made several arrests in the Webb Drive homicide investigation. Thank you Chief Duraiappah and Peel Police for your swift action getting the suspects off our streets and keeping our city safe,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie in a statement.
The investigation into the attempted murder on Oct. 20, 2019, is continuing and further charges are anticipated.
“The success of this investigation illustrates the connectivity of various incidents that happen in the community and also reflects the resolve that is required of our homicide bureau and to bring these investigations to a conclusion. The impact on the public is significant and requires a multi-faceted approach,” said Chief Nishan Duraiappah at the news conference.
