Police are appealing to the public for help in locating a missing Brampton man.

Peel police say 69-year-old Leon McDowell was last seen at his home in the Bramalea Road and Balmoral Drive area at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018. That same day at 8:30 p.m., he was seen in the parking lot of an establishment in the Sunny Meadow Blvd and Bovaird Drive area in Brampton.

McDowell is described as a black male who is 5’7’’ with a medium build. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark green plaid shirt, grey running shoes and a blue toque.

Family and police are concerned for his well-being due to a pre-existing medical condition and the length of time he has been missing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Leon McDowell is asked to call investigators at the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453–2121, ext. 2133.

UPDATE: Police report that McDowell has been located in Toronto and re-united with his family.
