Police Seeking Witnesses After Brampton Man Shot and Killed

Witnesses are sought in an ongoing homicide investigation.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, officers responded to a 911 call in the area of Orenda Court and McCallum Court.

Around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, officers responded to a 911 call in the area of Orenda Court and McCallum Court.

Police found 20 year old Brampton resident Gurjot Dhaliwal (pictured) suffering from a serious gunshot wound.

“The victim was transported to a trauma centre where he died as a result of his injuries,” police say.

This is the seventh homicide of the year in Peel.

At this time, investigators believe there are witnesses that have not yet spoken with officers about this incident.
