Brampton’s favourite indie tea shop is officially open again in a new location!

Brampton’s favourite indie tea shop is officially open again in a new location!

You might have attended the jam packed grand opening (complete with a DJ) or taken a peek inside of T by Daniel’s new location this past weekend, because the beloved tea shop just reopened at Bramalea City Centre (BCC)!

Located beside Wireless Wave on the second level of the mall, near Hudson’s Bay, T by Daniel opened its new location on Friday March 16 at BCC.

The well-known tea shop held a grand opening about four years ago at 46 Main Street North. While the closure in downtown Brampton about a month ago was a surprise, the Lewises say that location at BCC is the next step for their bustling business.

According to owners and resident tea gurus Daniel and Renata Lewis, this is the next chapter for T by Daniel. The Lewises say that opening T by Daniel at BCC is a way to strengthen their brand and take the business in an exciting new direction.

The shop has taken on an even more modern and trendy vibe at its new location, complete with a small seating area. The menu has been revamped, and loose leaf tea sits in large pipes along one wall ready to be measured into packages and purchased.

As for the menu, you can still expect to find T by Daniel’s famous Lion Chai, and favourites like Polo with the Prince. You can also get tea-licious beverages like tea lattes, loose leaf teas, and sweet treats like macarons and granola bars.

Additionally, T by Daniel is serving up Frui-Teas just in time for summer – tea-infused real fruit smoothies. And, the shop ahs unveiled a brand new royal blend: When Harry Met Meghan. It’s a black tea with chocolate pieces, dried strawberries, safflowers, sugar, purple sprinkles, and silver dragees. Yum!

One more thing you might want to take note of is that T by Daniel has increased their prices, and it is due to the recent minimum wage increase to $14 per hour.

The Lion Chai is $0.50 pricer, up to $5 from $4.50

“Due to the significantly higher minimum wage, supplier price increases, and now being in a new location, we have raised the prices on our menu,” said T by Daniel on Instagram.

“Also, since we opened 4 years ago, we absorbed taxes into our own costs, however for the same reasons stated above we are unfortunately unable to do this and continue to thrive as a small business.”

Definitely head over soon and check out the new spot if you haven’t already!
